런던에 오신걸 환영합니다! 그 첫째날. Welcome to London! The first day.

미리 말하자면.. 첫째날부터 개고생.. 시작이었다~ㅠㅠ

Say in advance.. From the first day our hardships had just begun~ :(

히드로 공항에서..^^

Welcome to London!

at Heathrow Airport..^^

입국 심사를 받기위한 긴 줄.. 사람 많더라!

하지만 공간이 엄청 넓은 것으로 봐서는 이것도 적은 것이리라..

Long queue to go through immigration.. lots of people!

But judging from that the space is very wide, it may be less than usual..

이제 곧 우리 차례!

그리고 입국 심사는 간단하게 끝났다^^ 2~3분 정도 걸렸나?

영국엔 왜 왔냐, 숙소는 있느냐, 영국엔 처음 왔냐, 등..

Soon to be our turn!

And it'd easily finished^^ maybe it took 2 or 3 minuites?

She asked us that why we came to England, if we had arranged accommodations, if it's the first time to England, and so on..

짐을 찾는 곳, 모두 자기 짐을 찾느라 분주하다!

This is where we collect our baggage, all seems busy to collect theirs.

짐은 이렇게 출발지에 따라 분류 되어 레일 위를 돌고 있다.

The baggages, which are classified according to a point of departure, is moving on rails.

짐을 찾은 뒤 나오면 이렇게 사람들이 기다리고 있다.

아마 친구나 가족들을 기다리는 것이겠지. 푯말을 들고 있는 사람도 많았다.

나는 이런 광경도 처음 본다^^ 비행기를 생전 처음 타봐서..

You can see many people waiting for someone when you come out after finding your baggage.

They probably are waiting for their friends or family. Some people are holding a paper which says names or something they are waiting for.

Even this sight, I have never seen before^^ Because it's the first time to travel by plane.

그리고 드디어 만나게 된 Underground!

And at last we'd met Underground!

이 마크.. 실제로 참 보고 싶었는데^^

그리고 뽑게 된 첫 티켓!!

저 무시무시한 가격이 보이나?

우리는 영국에 오기 전 티켓 가격이라든가 사전 조사를 하지 않고 무작정 왔기에.. 이 때는 몰랐었다.

데일리 티켓이라든가, 오이스터 카드라든가.. 조금이라도 저렴하게 지하철을 이용할 수 있는 방법이 있다는 것을..

And we'd got our first ticket in England!!

You see the terrible price?

We hadn't done any preliminary research before coming to England.. so we didn't know that.

there are some ways to use Underground in any cheaper price, such as Daily Ticket, Oyster Card..

그렇게 그냥 무작정 부딪혀보자는 생각으로 왔는데..

그래서 지금도 이렇게 고생하고 있나보다^^

하지만 불만은 없다! 이렇게 경험한 것들이 더 오래 기억 속에 남을 테니까!

I thought that just go, feel, and experience it, and it would be okay..

So maybe I am enduring hardships until now^^

But no complaints! Those experience by this a bit tough way will be in my memory in a long time!

지하철 내부는 이렇게 생겼다.

물론 내부 구조나 색깔이나 각 라인마다 조금씩 다르긴 하지만 모두 비슷하다.

보시다시피 서로 마주보고 앉는 형태이고, 사이 간격이 좁은 편이다!

Of course interior, colour details, or some things are different depending on the line, but similar to each other.

As you can see they sit facing each other, the space between them are narrow!

우리는 멋도 모르고 Knightbridge 라는 이름의 역이 왠지 멋져 보이길래 왔다.

왜? 집 구하기 전 잠시 묵을 숙소를 찾기 위해서.. 미쳤지 정말..

나중에 알고보니 Knightbridge는 물가가 제일 비싼 지역이었다!

We'd decided to go to Knightbridge Station being fascinated by the name without knowing anything.

Why? To find an accommodation to stay for a while before deciding house.. We were really crazy..

Knightbridge is one of the most expensive areas, as it turned out!

그 와중에 찍어본 2층 버스.. 예쁘긴 하다^^

"우리 정말 런던에 왔구나!!" 새삼스럽게..

Meanwhile I took a picture of a double-decker bus.. nice^^

"We really have come to London!!" needless to say..

관광 버스도 심심찮게 볼 수 있었다.

그리고 그 뒤 멋지구리한 건물은 버버리.. 버붜뤼~

We'd been able to see sightseeing bus often.

And the wonderful building behind of the bus was Burberry.. ^|b3:bəri~

그리고 여긴 빅토리아역!

새삼 말할 것도 없이.. Knightbridge 근처에 있는 숙소들은 터무니 없이 비싼 호텔들 뿐이었기에..

And this is Victoria Station!

Needless to say.. the accommodations near Knightbridge were all hotels which are so expensive..

숙소를 찾아 헤매다가ㅠㅠ 와이파이도 사용할 겸 들어간 한국 식당!

'라임 오렌지' 라는 이름의 식당이었다.

Searching for an accommodation :( We'd entered a Korean Restaraunt to use wifi as well.

The name was 'Lime Orange'.

이건 여자친구가 주문한 김치볶음밥.

This is Kimchee fried rice, my girlfriend ordered.

이건 내가 주문한.. 뭐더라?

매운.. 뭐였는데..

This is what I ordered.. what's it called?

Spicy.. something..

라임 오렌지.

맛도 괜찮았고, 가격도 적당했고, 양이 많았다!

아무래도 영국인 혹은 서양 손님이 대부분일테니 그렇겠지?

Lime Orange.

The taste was nice, the price was fair, the amount was a lot!

I guess because almost all customers are English or Western?

오늘의 긴 여정(헤맴?) 끝에 들어온 숙소의 모습이다.

세인트 폴 성당 근처에 있는 yha라는 호스텔!

도미토리.. 가격은 뭐 적당했고 시설도 나름 깔끔했지만..

와이파이와 컴퓨터 사용이 유료였으며, 가격이 적당한들 우리는 둘이기에 2배의 비용이 드는 셈이니.. '얼른 살 집을 구해야겠다!' 고 생각했다.

After long journey today.. we'd decided where to stay.

The hostel named yha near St. Paul's Cathedral!

Domitori.. the price was fair, facilities were clean, but..

Wifi and computer were not free, and even though the price was fair we were two so we paid for two people.. we thought that 'we should find house quickly!'.

어쨌든 내일을 위해 굿밤!
